Medieval Town. 25x25cm. 2020

From time to time I repeat some of my works. I am curious to see if their will be a difference between my previous work and now. This time around, I worked on the same picture of medieval Constantinople that I did five years ago.


This woodcut is from the Nuremberg Chronicles - one of the first printed books, created in 1493.
The original woodcut is seen below.
My work tools: paintbrush and needle. With the paintbrush, I place the glass powder paste and with the needle I straighten and sharpen the lines. The story about the technique is here.
